Was just going to share with y'all something that happened this week. Wednesday, my oldest son was in a really bad car accident. He left the house around 5:30 that day, headed back to town for a school project. A bunch of the kids were going to meet and make a movie thing for class. At about 6:15-6:30 he came back to the house, totally confused, didn't know where the car was or what had happened. He just woke up out of the car, and walked back to the house...he'd only gotten about a mile down the road. Basically, he was driving too fast on the dirt/gravel road, and lost control, and flipped his car the patrolman said at least 5 times, probably more judging from distance the car traveled. He was thrown out somewhere along the way, and miraculously was able to walk away from this. He only suffered a pretty bad concussion, some cuts and a lot of bruising.
I just wanted to share this to remind everyone to hold your babies close. It doesn't seem like any time since Rodney was Jr's age....it just made me sick to my stomach to look at the car, and think he was in that. It seems like sometimes we get caught up in some of the silliest things when they're small...things that really don't matter...we are just very, very blessed to have them in our lives.

sorry if this is huge...i tried to resize it...

OMG, that is so scary but such a blessing that he is ok! I just can't believe that much damage was done and he walked away with minor injuries! WOW!

OMG, I'm so glad your son is ok! That would be super scary for sure ... a mother's worst nightmare with a happy ending!

So thankful he is alright. Very very scarey for sure Car accidents are just so horrible and traumatic. They are some of my worst fears, especially since I also have been in a bad one in my youth. I am sure he is very very sore now and I pray he is fully recovered soon.

Thank goodness he's okay! Hopefully that scary situation will make him want to drive slower in the future. Makes me nervous for when our little ones grow up and get that adrenaline bug...

Aww...hope y'all get settled in soon. I know how hard that is with little ones.

Thanks y'all. Rodney is doing much better now. His head is finally not hurting all the time, and he's not so fuzzy. He was frustrated at first because he couldn't remember anything, and he couldn't really think straight. He just has a lot of bruising on his arms and stuff now. Looks like someone beat him up.
