Anyone taking their LO's out tonight?
It's been cancelled here in MA due to power outages of the weekend. Some people still do have power and they don't expect it to be on until the end of the week.

Evil! They're not allowed to cancel Halloween! That's..that's..how's your daughter taking it?
We're heading out to the small town my grandpa and mom live in. It won't be as fun because my mom has to work, but it's a lot cooler because it the whole town gets in on the celebration.

I didn't think they could either! I got a call from the town saying it was cancelled and it has been all over the news of other towns cancelling too. I'm not even sure what towns are celebrating so I don't want to venture out. I've called every mall in the area and they all celebrated it last week. My dd is upset, school was cancelled today also there was no celebrating for her. Plus it just won't be the same next weekend..
Lily is upset about it but she is easy going, she really wants to wear her costume though. so Ill dress her up to hang around the house...lol
Not to mention the 30.00 bucks I spent on her costume...blah!

My DH will probably take out oldest and Alison will stay home and hand out candy. Our weather is still nice here right now but it is supposed to get cold and wet by mid week. That is crazy that so many of you have snow already.

Maybe you two could bake some Halloween cupcakes together - it should cheer her up when you put her to work frosting those suckers. Though, that might mean a whole LOTTA mess for you to clean up!

I can't believe it either, it's insane. I can't remember getting this much snow it October ever. I am ready for spring! It's going to be a long winter.

We went out with Kevins aunt, uncle, cousin, cousins daughter. It was a lot of fun. And the weather was totally perfect. Was a really nice day.

that really sucks that they canceled halloween!
since no one can stay home and hand out candy here (we live in an apartment building) all four of us will go out trick or treating.

How can anyone tell you that halloween is cancelled. that's bologne! I'm sorry your DD didn't get to dress up. mother nature sucks sometimes.
DH took Tyler and Isabelle around the block and me and Miranda stayed home and gave out candy. My oldest went to a house party and abandoned us.
It was actually a beautiful night. Not cold at all, but surprisingly not too many kids were out and about here. So now I'm stuck with a bunch of candy and chips that I can't eat.

I'm in CT and a lot of towns postponed/cancelled ToT here as well, not my town but a lot of surrounding ones, especially in northern CT, by Mass, where my Mom lives. Honestly, it sounds awful but it's for a good reason. We just got a FOOT of heavy, wet snow last weekend and not only did half a million people lose power, but many many power lines and trees are down everywhere. My mom is stuck in her house due to all the debris in her road and they don't know when it is going to get cleared. It's been 2 days and crews are still working on clearing debris from high-need areas, hospitals, etc. It is expected to take over a week before everyone gets power back at their houses. A lot of people don't have heat or running water and it's in the 20's (F) at night. So trick or treat is really the last of the worries and with live wires down and no street lights, no one wants to see any children getting hurt.
That being said, since my town was still in alright shape, Jackson and I went out to a few houses. He was shy but he did okay. Halloween isn't the same with snow everywhere though, and DF was at class.

Holden wasn't really having Halloween tonight. We didn't get to my moms until after 7 and he was already tired. He ran around for a little bit then we decided to go trick or treating but went back home after he decided to throw a tantrum and throw his basket across the neighbors driveway.

I took my oldest two out while DH stayed home with the younger two. My fingers were going numb by the time we came in so I was glad we didn't take them out.
