Has your lo seen the same pediatrician since birth?
If not, how many times have you switched pediatricians?
What has made you, or would make you switch doctors?

Has your lo seen the same pediatrician since birth? Yep!
If not, how many times have you switched pediatricians? N/A
What has made you, or would make you switch doctors? I would switch if I felt like my child wasn't getting the proper attention or care that they needed.

Has your lo seen the same pediatrician since birth? Nope.
If not, how many times have you switched pediatricians? Once, and we are in the process of switching again.
What has made you, or would make you switch doctors? The first time we switched because his pediatrician was pushing formula...the last visit she said if i didn't give him formula, and if he didn't gain 8 ounces in that week he would be admitted to the hospital. He was never even failure to thrive, he was gaining fine for a breastfed baby.
I haven't been totally happy with his current pediatrician from the beginning...When we first went to him Sam had thrush, and he had had it for a month already. But he didn't want to give us a different medication to treat it because "it's 3times more expensive and we're all the ones paying for it." I should have switched right at that, but i was exhausted and was happy that he was supportive of breastfeeding and he claimed to be okay with selective vaccination. However, every apt when it comes to vaccinations he tells me how i don't know what i am doing...he goes out and tells the receptionists (and whatever patients are around, can hear) how i am not fully vaxing him and how he doesnt agree. And at Sam's last apt he had the nerve to tell me that he doesnt get as big of a bonus if all his patients are not fully vaxed, and that i need to think about that. As if his paycheck is more important to me than my son's health. *sigh*

If not, how many times have you switched pediatricians? We actually never switched on our own outside of moving.
What has made you, or would make you switch doctors?
We never see the same dr it seems so we don't really have a say. I am not even sure I have met Rosie's PCM. When we make apts which we have only gone for well baby visits and I brought her in for a possible ear infection it has been someone different almost each time.
The ped would have to be pretty bad for me to switch. I tend to take what I need and toss the rest out if it goes against what we think is best. But when things like they should be sleeping through the night come up I have always just gave vague answers as in yes she sleeps great for the most part.

WOW. I would ask him if he's every heard of HIPPA privacy laws and tell him maybe he can take his teeny little bonus and use it to pay a lawyer when you sue him for telling patient business to other patients, while you look for a new ped!

What has made you, or would make you switch doctors? If they had something and the doctor kept writing it off (I have to say I was to the point of looking for a new one when both had severe eczema and no one would do anything finally it's is pretty much cleared up, but it took almost a full year for both boys to get it clear)

We've been with the same pediatrician's office since Ellie was born. At the hospital the pediatrican on call was DH's pediatrician from when he was little and he retired shortly after. We've been seeing another ped at that office since then. We may move Ellie to the family practice I go to at some point.

We will be meeting with a new pediatrician on the 15th, hopefully we'll like her, she'll accept Sam and we're switch to her.
I wish Sam had the same pediatrician from the beginning.

Has your lo seen the same pediatrician since birth? Bishop and Dane have seen the same family doctor since birth. Gage has seen 2 pediatricians and is now under a family doctor care but a different Dr from my other boys.
If not, how many times have you switched pediatricians? 0 for Bishop and Dane. I switched twice with Gage, once because we moved and another because the dr was horrible! The office was horrible and I was pissed they were recommended to me. They ignored my concerns for my child and I walked out and never went back. When I needed his records I told them exactly why and wasn't nice about it.
What has made you, or would make you switch doctors? See above.

If not, how many times have you switched pediatricians? Umm...he's seen so many it's hard to count. That's only because he was sick. I think he saw 8 different doctor's before we moved and only one of those was a pediatrician. Now that we're in our new house we started him with a Pediatrician here. She's really great and the first time he saw her she asked us his whole health history and understood it and didn't hurry through the visit/check-up. She really tried to get to know Josh and us.
What has made you, or would make you switch doctors? To get second opinions, if we don't feel the patient/doctor connection (don't like them), or moving.
