Caleb spent all week with a low grade fever and teething syptoms. Yesterday his fever spiked to 105 and would not break, he has a horrible cough. I took him to Patient First and they sent us over to the ER at our local hospital. Anyway, he has pnemonia. 2 weeks of antibiotics for us. No one in our house got any sleep last night but Caleb seems to be feeling a little better today. We are trying to get fluids into him... my poor baby:

His fever is staying at around 100 now so we are hoping that it will break during the night. We are still having a hard time getting fluids in him. He will not drink Pedialyte or Gatoraide so we have been giving him a sippy with 90% water and 10% grape juice. He will drink a little of that but not much. He is still producing tears and has had 1 wet diaper today. We'll see how it goes tomorrow.

Thanks everyone. Today he's doing a lot better. Fever is down and I have been able to get more fluids in him. He still isn't really eating much but as long as he's drinking I'm not worried about the food. His breathing seems to be clearing up and the cough is slowing down. Today will be our 3rd full day of antibiotics.

Now of course Grace is sick. She has viral asthma...well she used to...I'm crossing my fingers that she doesn't get pneumonia. But so far so good with her. I think she may have out grown her asthma because usually I would have had to give her a treatment but not yet this time around.
