I thought as the babies got older they napped less. Not my guy, he must take his morning snooze 2 hrs after he gets up for about 45 minutes and his 1-2 hour snooze in the afternoon. How is everyone's LO's napping these days?

we play it by ear. if he is showing signs of needing a nap in the morning, he naps in the morning. I think we are starting to have one long nap in the afternoon instead though, whereas before he napped like clockwork, 2 hours after waking up. now I usually put him down after lunch.

Most days we still do 2 naps...both about 2 hours long. She'll take one about 10am and the other about 3pm.

If we have something to do, though (playgroup, storytime at the library, etc.) she can skip one and function well enough. I bet by Christmas we'll be down to one nap

I am hoping his morning nap gets eliminated soon. It seems I am also waiting for him to wake up to get things done. I don't see any signs of him giving it up yet.

We still usually do a morning nap and an afternoon nap. They are typically at about 10am and 3pm and are 1.5 hours long each.

My LO dropped the morning nap at 11 months old. He takes 1 nap after lunch, usually 2-3 hours long. We try to do errands or play dates in the morning, but I find it hard because I'm not much of a morning person. After the afternoon nap, I am already getting dinner ready so there's no chance of going out then, we are stuck home until bedtime.

for me Liam will still take two naps (except if she sleeps until 730/8)
usually the first one two hours after waking up and that one is for around two hours and than a couple hours later he'll take an hour nap
at daycare tho he wont sleep until noon and than sleep for two hours and thats it
half the time tho he comes homes way grumpy from there, so he really needs those two naps or one longer one

We go through spurts where she will only take one nap for 1-2 hours back to 2 naps. Usually around 10 and 3. and they last 1-2 hours. If we do skip a nap its usually the afternoon one which in a lot of ways don't bother me because then by 730ish she is ready for bed. If we have playgroup or something like that she will generally do okay with skipping the morning nap. But then its a fight to get her to take the afternoon one.
