Our Traditions that we started with just Josh and I since moving away from Family. We do Christmas PJs on Christmas Eve and we watch a Christmas Story. We open gifts Christmas morning. Will be starting Elf on the Shelf next year.

We start the decorating process Thanksgiving night or that weekend.

We will do Santa. Although Josh isn't 100% about it since he never did it.

Real Tree, will be interesting though to see how Rosie does with it this year.

No intended theme. I have all red ornaments that I bought for the first year we celebrated in Texas. We were broke and they were cheap and I really wanted to have a Christmas. I now have all my ornaments from when I was a kid so those will go up this year. My plan is to have all mine, plus the ones Josh has gotten since we have been married and then the kid's mixed in with some other randoms. I wouldn't mind a color theme but I would want to change it up every year..lol

We used to decorate outside prior to Josh being in the Army. We might do it next year. Plan is to buy stuff this year after it goes on clearance..lol Inside I do a Winter/Christmas Theme. Tons of Snowmen as I collect those. Although we don't really have a lot of space for stuff here. We also do a Dept 56 Christmas Village the North Pole Series. My mom buys us a few pieces each year.

What are your Traditions?
- Christmas Eve is our night 100%. We have a nice roasted chicken dinner, with carrots, mashed potatoes, green beans, rolls. Sooo yummy! Then we gather them all in the car and go look at Christmas lights. The boys LOVE this part. We would normally start A Christmas Story on TBS while finishing wrapping presents but we don't have cable so DVD will have to do

- Before Thanksgiving usually

Do you do Santa?
- We do

- Fake, I don't want to deal with watering or pine needles with little kids.

- No real theme.

Do you decorate the outside, how about the whole house inside?
- We normally do, this year we won't. We do the inside, we have the mantle top of the cabinets, windows and such.

What are your Traditions?
we usually spend Christmas Eve at my IL's house. we put the kids in their Christmas jammies and they open their presents from them. we hang out and visit for a while and then head home and put the kids to bed. Christmas morning we open presents and go to church with my family, and then head to my parents' house for dinner. Boxing day we visit grandparents. when we have our own house, things will change and spend more time at home and have people come to US.

When do you decorate?
this year we decorated SUPER early, but next year and all of the years after we will have a real tree and won't put it up until mid december. everything else will go up around the end of november/early december.

fake for now, real once we have a house

Decorating Theme for your tree?
nope. there are ornaments from when I was a kid and new ones we seem to get each year. then we have the plastic ball ornaments that were super cheap and don't break easily. we do multi-colored lights on our tree.

Do you decorate the outside, how about the whole house inside?
I have a few things for inside, I plan to get a lot more after Christmas when things go on sale. I want to eventually have everything Christmas as far as linens and knickknacks and stuff. you can get kitchen mats and bath mats and bath accessories, hand towels and sheets and decorative pillows and tablecloths. I want it all! we'll decorate outside when we get our house.

What are your Traditions? It changes from year to year depending if the in-laws go away. This year they are going away so we are having Christmas at our house. We will probably make a roast w/ veggies and salad. After dinner we sing songs - DH will play the piano and we will sing. And then we open presents.

When do you decorate? Everything goes slow this year. That's why I started last weekend. When I remember I will pull out a box and unpack the decorations.

Do you do Santa? We do when we have Christmas at our house. This year yes.

Real Tree or Fake Tree? Fake. We used to do real but the last one had bees in it. Plus all the needles and the cats go hog-wild in a real tree. Fake for us. We save money and a tree.

Decorating Theme for your tree? Red and gold decorations w/ colorful lights.

Open Presents on Christmas Eve or Christmas Morning? Christmas Eve.

Do you decorate the outside, how about the whole house inside? I have a few decorations for outside not much. Some red bows and a wreath that lights up. No inflatables (yet).

What are your Traditions? Our biggest tradition is the Jesse Tree The Jesse Tree: Celebration of Advent
And another tradition is making cookies and candy with the whole family.

When do you decorate? We don't really do a lot of decorating

What are your Traditions? We usually go to my parents for dinner on Christmas Eve and then Christmas day we go to my in laws and my parents.

When do you decorate? The middle of December.

What are your Traditions? My mom usually takes them to see lights. We have Christmas at my parents house. This year both of my Grandpas from both my parents are supposed to come.

When do you decorate? Depends on the year. This year, prob. after ILs leave 2nd week in Dec..

Do you do Santa? We never claim he's real. Stocking we do in his honor bc he was an actual person at one time. They know not to spoil it for any other kids though.
