Opening presents...Will your LO get to open any presents on Christmas eve, or have to wait until christmas morning?

we'll do some Christmas eve.
Growing up we pretty much did all ours Christmas eve. DF family did it all Christmas morning ..this way we compromise. The Santa stuff is of course Christmas morning, but all other gifts (family, etc) we used to do Christmas eve. With Syd, we are going to have her open 3 or 4 Christmas eve (jammies, a new book, etc). I think it's fun that way....makes Christmas eve exciting too!

Both. We'll be at MIL's this year. We all open our wrapped presents from her on Christmas Eve then on Christmas morning she does the unwrapped Santa presents even though everyone's too old for Santa - except my niece who will get her Santa presents at her house.

Family tradition is one on Christmas Eve and the rest on Christmas Day.

She will get to open some presents a week before Christmas because thats when my husbands family will get together. She will open the ones from us and Santa on Christmas morning and then my folks later on that day.

She will get one from us on Christmas Eve and open the rest from Santa on Christmas morning. I'm sure my mom will give her some on Christmas Eve.

We're going to stick to my family tradition of opening pajamas and one present on Xmas eve. Then the rest of the gifts will be opened of Xmas.

Our family has always had our big Christmas celebration on Christmas Eve and we always open all our gifts from everyone (takes hours). Then on Christmas morning the kids get Santa gifts. My whole family comes to our home for Christmas Eve.

When I was a kid I always felt bad for kids who had to wait until morning to open. I didnt understand why everyone didnt open gifts the night before like us.

So to answer, Ty will open all his gifts except the Santa ones on Christmas Eve

We'll do Christmas Day. Truth is we have about 5 celebrations that happen around Christmas and each one there are gifts to exchange and open. So, I don't think holding off on Christmas eve for her will be an issue.
