I can't stand Leah's whining. I understand that she can't communicate a lot of her needs, and it seems like I'm playing a guessing game all day. I think teething is playing into a lot of her fussiness too. I hope it's not a sneak peak of what her personality will be like later on in life.

What about y'all's LO's?

Yeah, I think the whining/lack of communication is my least favorite thing so far.

I have to agree....the whining, especially the "crying" whine...can't wait until she can tell me what she wants or understands she doesn't have to make such a big deal about everything.

I think it is the trying to teach him what he can and cannot do. I feel like I say "No!" a thousand times a day.

Me Three. She's so curious, and downright mad when she can't have something or do something she wants. I can't stand whining either. For me it's like nails on a chalkboard. But we seem to have gotten through the lion's share of that problem already. There was about a month though not long ago where I would have gladly handed over her whining little butt to the nearest taker for a break from it. Now, she has her moments where it's tempting and we get a bit of a whine when she knows precisely what to say instead, but she just has to look at my face and it stops.

for me right now it's the whining ....and the hitting/scratching. she's in a hitting phase. she hits and then laughs. I'm having a hard time teaching her not to do that.

Hey isn't Sydney in daycare? Well we were talking about hitting and biting on the working mommy forum, maybe you should check it out. Not to say she is a hitter because she is in daycare, but the thread was very insightful!

The tantrums...He is in that everything is mine phase and he will throw himself on the floor and scream when you take things away from him.

She wants to do what she wants when she wants and there's no reasoning with her.

I have been changing diapers since 1999 without a break and I am so tired of toddler poop. Thankfully Max is very laid back and happy though I'm sure he'll hit the whining/demanding stage soon
