So about a month ago or so, I commented that Maggie was fiercely fighting baths. Would only do showers with me. Well, it's just not practical to maintain, and she went from loving the water and her bath to absolutely throwing terrified fits of it. I couldn't find a logical connection. I've been trying to ride it out, but it's getting too hard to hang on to her in the shower, and I really enjoy my own shower...you know...by myself.

So this week, we started pushing the bath a bit more. She hasn't had a shower all week, and it's been a pretty big challenge, but we've officially had success! Turns out, she's ok with water in her face if she puts it there. Any water that runs into her face when I've been washing her hair has apparently caused the issue. So, I'm using a cloth to rinse through her hair, and thanks to a tinkerbell bath tub mat, we've officially got our bath loving kid back! In fact, tonight, she threw a fit when we tried to take her out of the bath and kept sticking her face in the water!

WAHOOO! Can't tell you how excited I am about this!

Yay!
Syd is the same way with water in her face. I have to use a facecloth to wash her hair --- I also try to do it as quick as possible and it's the first thing I wash to get it out of the way. After that she has fun with her toys and splashing.

Ya - I've tried all along to keep the water in her face to an absolute minimum, but there's no escaping some.

Seriously, if you can imagine, I'm glad I am not hormonally postpartum anymore. This was big enough for us that I could feel a pretty strong sobbing session coming on even without the hormones raging!
