Maggie was pushed down by another kid for the first time ever, and it really upset her. Me a little less so - I knew it would happen eventually, but I so wanted to push that little kid back.

She cried for a good 3-4 minutes. I felt sooo bad for my little baby girl. She just wanted to be friends with her little cousin. It's the first time they've met (they are cousins twice removed). He's 6 months older than her, but significantly behind her in his communication skills and a few other milestones, and he got a bit jealous I think. Out of the blue he just walked up to her and pushed her down. OK...maybe it upset me a bit more than I thought it did.

What a little turd.

Yeah kids can be so cruel at times and you may not agree but it's really good for her (well not being pushed ha ha) They learn so many things just interacting with other kids. One thing I do know from knowing Miss Maggie is that next time he probably won't get away with that again. Also seeing that he is her cousin they will be interacting with each other there whole life. So I promise you he will learn real quick what Maggie will and will not tolerate.

He knew straight away. I can say that as soon as i said "No" to him, he wasn't sure where to run. I have a good voice for that with kids who don't know what a softy I actually am. And his mom (who quite surprised me with this), appeared out of nowhere and got on him very quickly to teach him how to apologize.

And you're right, Maggie didn't have anything to do with him the rest of the night. She was all like, there's better people than you here mister! And then she played with the dog. lol. She doesn't tolerate it, I'll be lucky if she doesn't take advantage of the opportunity to slug him back next time she sees him.
