What do you usually have for breakfast on the weekends?

Does your toddler help you make it?

Our weekends aren't very different from weekdays - with the exception that since Daddy is home, we tend to get "second breakfast" around lunch time and do up bacon with eggs and potatoes etc.

We usually just do what we regularly do during the week, cereal or toast.

Scott usually cooks breakfast once on the weekends, which is eggs, potatoes and toast usually. If I cook, then its hotcakes.

Due to BJ and I working all week, we have a big breakfast for the whole family on Saturdays. That has been our little family Saturday tradition. We love it! Sundays are quick breakfast items due to church.

DF and I used to do breakfast on the weekends all the time. Eggs, sausage, bacon, hashbrown..that type of stuff. Now that we don't keep eggs in the house b/c of Syd's allergy, we don't really do breakfast anymore. Coffee and more coffee is about it. During the work week I don't eat breakfast either --just coffee. I know I should be but I can't get into the habit (when I was pregnant I always made a point of eating breakfast).

For Sydney, I try to do pancake breakfasts for her on the weekends...make it fun with different shapes, etc. I can only find a handful of pancake mixes that are egg free (don't have dried egg in them) and I substitue apple sauce for any eggs that need to be added. They work out great and are quite yummy! I usually add either bananas or blueberries to them as well.

Nothing different on the weekends, she eats oatmeal, cereal, toast with pb or cream cheese, or eggs, or any combination of the above...plus fruit and yogurt. I WISH she would eat waffles or pancakes once in awhile but she strangely doesn't like them.
