I'm looking at some super cute squeaker boots on Amazon for the LO's Christmas, but they're $29! On one hand, I figure she won't be needing very many toys since her sister has lots of hand-me-downs, but on the other I feel guilty for spending money on something she'll probably outgrow in 3 or so months...
Where's your line?

I've been trying to find a really good deal on squeaker shoes for a while - like I want to get them for $10 or so. I've found some close to that a couple of times, like on those daily deal sites, but they're always sold out of his size. But I'm really cheap because we're so broke. Otherwise I'd probably spend 20-25 dollars on good squeaker shoes and I guess if I wanted boots then I think $30 would be reasonable.

OMG those are too cute..I'm not sure if I would spend that much on shoes that she would grow out of in a few months, but on the other hand by the time she grows out of them it will be spring, so if you really like them go for it!

Those are adorable! I usually end up spending about $10-15 for toddler shoes unless they need an odd side (like extra wide) but for a gift I would spend $30. They are adorable - my 2 year old would love a pair like that!

Those are really cute! You could always sell them after she outgrows them too so you'd be getting some of your money back.

Maggie has surprised me and her feet aren't actually growing as fast as I had originally expected them to. So I find that means I'm getting a little less tight fisted on spending money there. She has a pair of $40 shoes that her great grandma bought her, and I couldn't believe my ears, and then I thought, you only live once.
Her most recent pair of sneakers were $20, but I got them half price because I bought myself a new pair of shoes at the same time. I would check out the bogo offers first, and see what I could swing. Good luck! They sound like fun!

I'm not the one to ask when it comes to shoes. I love Stride Rite and 95% of the kids shoes come from there. I just spend $40 on a second pair of twinkle toe skechers for Grace and $35 on Robeez boots for Caleb... I do buy a lot of clothes on sale, at Target, outlets, or second hand. But shoes I always buy new. I figure the money I save on clothes I'm not really spending much on shoes in the long run.

I love them too! I'm probably not the best person to ask about this, bc I'm big on babies having "good" shoes. Meaning something that isn't detrimental to their walking. I've gotten some "cheap" shoes for Leah, and they literally put cuts on her feet, and made her walk funny. If you can find them for cheaper...GREAT! If not, and you really like them...go for it!

Yeah, Vincent has never had a pair of good new shoes yet but it wasn't really an issue because he wasn't walking and now I feel bad that I can't spend $25-30 on good walking shoes for him. I guess I will have to start shelling it out for one good pair every time he goes up a size now.

I just wanted to update:
I ordered and received them in the mail Saturday! If anyone was thinking about getting a pair, I recommend them! They're very nicely made and adorable! We bought the white ones (DH calls them Stormtrooper boots! )
