If you could do anything you wanted as an occupation and not have to worry about finances, what would you do?
I think I'd like to be a SAHM if I could, but I also think I'd really miss teaching. I think someday I might like to own a daycare so that I could have my kids at work with me.

I'm doing it. SAHM.
We still worry about finances. But we've got a handle on money right now, so it's working out. It's worth the sacrifices.

I'm doing it! I'm a SAHM and also work a little from home as an accountant. I love that I can be here for Claire and also use my degrees/brain when she naps.
We're not rich by any means, but DH's job/benefits allow us to not stress about money, so I feel very blessed.

I love being a SAHM. It was a big adjustment at first but now I couldn't imagine not being able to stay home with my kids.

All i want to do is be a stay at home mom. I would like to be able to do more crafty things for a tad of income though.

I don't mind being a SAHM however I really do actually miss working. I have done this stay at home bit pretty much since we got married. I am ready to get out and work again.
So my dream job would be a RN I have always wanted to do it just screwed around that now I don't think I eve will.

Aside from being a sahm, i would love to do something either with pregnant women, or breastfeeding...being a lactation consultant or a doula would be awesome.

I think I'm really feeling that photography is my dream job. Birth photography at that, but I want to take lessons before i dare put myself out there.

I'm doing it/working my way towards it. I love being a SAHM, and being a doula is the icing on the cake. When the kids are older I will start midwifery school to become a homebirth midwife

I do love being a SAHM, which is why the photography business would work out in the area I want to do.
And Rachel, I'd love a bakery! Except I don't know how much control I would have.

My dream job is to be a teacher and my other is to be a SAHM but I would own my own business and bring in money for us. I wish some days to be able to stay in and cuddle with my baby and being able to protect her from harm. Sahms you have the best job ever : )

SAHM is my first choice, and I am doing it. I would also love to do anything involving babies, like an ultrasound technician or a labour and delivery nurse or midwife or something.

Growing up I always wanted to be a SAHM. And it was always me and DH's goal to get me to be a SAHM. Well that came true this past May. And now I'm going to open a daycare. And I'm also thinking of going back to school so when the kids are in middle school I will go back to working outside of the home. I want to go to school for HIT/Medical Coding and Accounting.

I think I'm gonna have a dilemma in a few years because I'm pretty sure that if DH keeps on the career path he's been taking, I will be able to be a SAHM if I want. However, he's working 10-12 hours a day to do this and if I stop working, will probably continue to do so. Also, if I stop working, I'll lose the awesome retirement that I'd get if I keep teaching, and so I kinda feel like I owe it to DH to help him retire since he's working so hard now.

Maybe a travel companion to warm or really interesting places that pays $100K plus all the travel cost and allows me to take Sophia along and a paid nanny for Sophia would be my dream job... DH should also be allowed to come along. U said "dream" job.
