I'm cooking the meal this thanksgiving. My sister is the only family member that lives close by, her and her family will be coming over. I wish we had a bigger place so i could just invite Kevin's family here, but they likely wouldn't come anyway.

My mom is hosting because I don't have the space. But I would totally host. And my table would be beautiful and filled with matching dishes and casseroles. And everyone would be afraid to bring the wrong dish.

I'm hosting because I am a control freak and I also have the biggest house and the most children to destroy someone else's house!

I'm expecting about 20 people tomorrow

If I lived closer to my family I would love to host but I don't, so we are in Pa for the next few days at my parents who will be hosting. They will have about 20-25 people here.

When we lived local to family we hosted a few different times. I enjoy hosting.

Once we moved its been mainly just us but at times have had the stray Soldier here or there and friends over if they were around.

We always go to my in-laws but they also invite my sister's family and my mom to join us there too since they are local.

We have our Thanksgiving in October and it usually falls right around my mom's birthday. So she is the one throwing the Thanksgiving/Birthday dinner every year. I was hosting it a few years ago, but guess what....that was the day that all of us got a stomach virus and were throwing up from the moment we woke up to the next day. So dinner was cancelled that year and the turkey went into the garbage cause I couldn't stand the smell of it whenever I opened the fridge. So now it's a huge joke every year.

My Mom hosted. This is the first year (since I lived at home) that I have gone to her place, we usually go to DF's grandmas but didn't want to make the drive this year as we live far away now. It was awesome I couldn't host. Can't even think about it until we own a house. Plus I have never cooked a turkey in my life
