so what extra curriculars do you want your kids in?

sports, dance, scouts, gymnastics, piano lessons, cheer, language lessons, etc.

do you have older kids already in these things?

Keira has been in a few different things. She mostly loves her dance and skating class though. As for what I want them to be in, I want them to go into whatever they want to go into. My parents didn't force me to go into any. They let me pick all the time and 99% of the time I hated it haha, but at least they let me try

We haven't gotten the younger two into anything yet, but we're going to get them all into swimming lessons soon since they all love the water.

Gage loved soccer and wants to do t-ball come spring. So we'll be moved by then and when we move we'll be in an area where he has more options to do more activities if the price is affordable.

I would LOVE for him to play hockey though.

I plan to keep Sam in the swimming lessons (as long as we can afford it...we couldn't do it this session) and eventually i plan to enroll him in piano lessons. As long as we can afford it i will support any interests he has.

I want to do piano lessons, at least for claire.

my boys have done gymnastics, scouts, baseball, football and soccer now (not all for both though)

I'll be starting Claire in gymnastics this spring and probably cheer at 4.

Rebecca has done swimming lessons, once.

I would like them to try out for anything they want. it would be nice if they took up some sort of an art form and a sport though. I think DH wants Nate to play hockey, but that seems expensive. soccer seems like a cheaper choice, but what kind of Canadian would that make me?

I would love for Rebecca to play the piano, and I think she'd be great in dance or gymnastics.

Ellie is already really musical so I'd like her to at least try piano lessons. I have a feeling she will be a dancer too. Really it's up to her. I'd like all of my kids to try music lessons and a sport to see if they like it.

My dd is in cheer, gymnastics and hip hop.

Tommy will probably try out wrestling, football and baseball. I will support what ever he chooses but I hope he gets involved in some sort of sport.

I kind of hated piano lessons as a kid, but we have a piano and if Sophia wants to she can take piano lessons.

I would like her to be interested in sports- running, particularly. I used to do horseback riding as a teenager and loved it. It's expensive though, but if she wants to I would totally let her do that. It was so fun.

DH wants her to be in band and maybe soccer.

Whatever they want to be in as long as we can afford it we will support it. I would like to see her in dance or something like that. I know Joshua will be pushed into wrestling from DH as he wrestled from 5yrs old till his junior year in high school. I don't think he will actually force him if he hated it. but its one of those thing its in the blood type thing..lol his whole family including sister wrestled.

Once they reach high school the rule will be either you are in an extra curricular activity or you work.

I want mine to attempt to try every sport we have a round here and choose the ones they love to play ( I played volleyball, basketball, and softball and cheered in grade school) I also want them to do voice lessons, and play guitar/drums (my husbands family is very talented and can pick up just about any instrument and play without knowing how to read music just by sound and I have a video of my oldest before he was 2 playing the piano and sounded like he knew what he was doing)
