I know this weekend some put up Christmas decorations and trees. As I put up ours I realized all the different hazards and one of them being stocking hangers! They scare me big time! I was thinking of putting them out this year and realized that if London tugged on the stocking that heavy hanger would fall down on top of her head! Needless to say I have a plan B..lol

What other things, specifically about Christmas decor, should we be concerned with?

The ornaments proved bad for us, because emily wanted to put them in her mouth, even though they are shatterproof. The glitter and hooks were a huge hazard. Also, the stockings are an issue, not sure where I'm going to put them now. Haven't come across anything else yet.

We put up my grandma's tree this weekend too. She doesn't have shatter proof, and so, the glass ornaments are going to be something I watch. She tried to pull one of the ornaments off the tree and yanked the branch, so I'm gonna have to watch that. I never even thought about the stocking hangers. Guess I'll need a plan b for that too...Sparkles were also a big pain in the butt. They were all over her fingers and got in her eyes...isn't Christmas supposed to be full of fantastic? Why does it suddenly feel like major mounting issues?

Daggumit. I have two trees too! And both will be in a window. How the heck am I going to tie these off so they don't topple if she pulls on them?

Christmas tree needles and hooks, both of which fall silently to the floor and no one but an eagle-eyed toddler can see! We already found a hook in her mouth. The ornaments, we placed pretty high up, and she's been surprisingly good about not messing with the tree.

This reminds me of my parents coming home one year to find the tree laying over, with their cat and two dogs lounging close by and a third- the chihuahua, jumping out of it when they walked in!
