Today Sophia dug in the wet planter boxes and stuck handfuls of dirt in her mouth. Grooooossss! Weird that she will not stick a green bean in her mouth.
What are some things your baby put in his/her mouth that you wish they hadn't?
Sand from the park, dog food, bar of soap (I have to keep the ivory soap bar out of reach at all times during the bath). Also the top of the desitin tube or body lotion tube has gone in his mouth a few times. But you are right, they don't care about real food they just want to eat disgusting stuff.
When Josh was 9 months old he ate a June Bug. EEEEWWWWWWWWW!!!! We were living at my sisters and it was a nice day out, so the windows and doors were open (there are screens on them). But somehow a dead June Bug was on the inside part of the screen door in the living room. Josh rolled over and got it. I turned around and thought Oh No! What does he have in his mouth now?? I had to fish out the remaining half of a dead June Bug. **shivers**
Dirt, rocks...pretty much anything off the ground when we go outside. Inside the house she is really good about not putting things in her mouth, but when we're outside, all bets are off! Yuck!

Soap. She loves to grab the soap dispenser when I'm getting her dry after a bath. Oh and she has eaten diaper rash cream when she was around 9 months old. Her face was all white. yummy!
My most discusting moment was with my dd. We had just moved, (she was 1) so we were using a laundromat. I was folding clothes and I turn around to her trying to scrape the mushed to the floor gum with her teeth!! YUCK!
Ellie tried to eat a dead bug once that she found on the floor, but thankfully we got it before it went in her mouth. She used to put leaves and dirt in her mouth, but she doesn't really put a lot of stuff in her mouth anymore.
