DH called me around 11am and told me Cadence closed Ethan's finger in a bedroom door. Like, completley closed and had the door clicked closed. With his finger in it. He tried ice but he was still screaming and inconsolable 45 minutes later so he took him to the ER. I drove 30 min there and was able to stay only 10 minutes in order to drive the 30 minutes BACK to work to be back before my lunch hour was up. They x-rayed his finger, no breaks or fractures. BUT they think it may need drained (they are calling it a hematoma).

It looks awful, I posted pics on my facebook but they don't even begin to show how bad it looks in person =(. We gave him tylenol tonight and I just hope he sleeps ok poor baby has already been up once crying and clutching his hand =(.

OMG that poor poor baby boy I feel so sad for him! I cant imagine how bad it must hurt him. Lots of love and hugs to him. I hope it feels all better tomorrow.

Poor little guy....hopefully it starts to feel better and he is able to get some sleep tonight (for both him and you)

Ugh! I have a fear of this happening to us too! I recently read that putting a towel over the doors is a good preventative measure, but I've not done it.

I hope the little guy feels better!
