What's your favorite thing to cook or eat that you only get around the holidays?

Mine is spritz cookies! I love getting out my "cookie gun"! Haha! And they are so addictive. They make good gifts too, so I like taking an afternoon and baking tons of them.

My SIL makes these amazing peanut butter balls that I'm in love with. She also makes super delicious cookies and fudge.

I don't usually make anything besides sugar cookies, but I want to start getting into more baking this year.

They will have to be healthy treats though since I'm trying to lose weight haha

Peanut Brittle and Fudge..MIL makes these chocolate mint bars that are to die for. Shoot I love all holiday candies and cookies. Its normally the only time of year that we have stuff like that. so I don't care if we indulge..lol I can't wait till Rosie is old enough to get into it and help. I really want to learn how to do more since I am not much of a candy/cookie baker.

Can you tell us more about spritz cookies? I have never heard of them, nor have I heard of a cookie gun

I am not much of a baker or cook, for that matter. I don't do much cooking for the holidays, but I want to make and decorate cookies for the neighbors this year!!

They are really buttery cookies. I sometimes add peppermint to mine too. You load the dough into this tube that has a plunger at one end and the other end has pieces that come in different shapes. You squeeze the trigger and the plunger pushes a little bit of dough out into the cookie sheet and depending on which template you're using, they come out in fancy shapes like stars and things like that. So fun and super easy! You can get the cookie maker for pretty cheap too. I think I paid like $15 for mine at Macy's.

Nothing in particular, I do have a fondness for any and all Christmas cookies though! I'm making my first batch of chocolate chip tomorrow night for the tree decorating.

My mother in law makes these very thin oatmeal cookies, she calls them fairy cookies. They are sooooo good!
