So, Maggie really enjoys Imagination Movers and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and she's addicted to tinkerbell and simba...

Well, I got a notice in my email that the Imagination Movers are playing a concert sorta close by in the spring, and I thought by then, she'd be really excited at being able to see it, and maybe it's time to try something like that. My girlfriend's 2 year old son also enjoys them, and I thought it would be great to get them out together for this, and she and I could enjoy some time together at the same time.

VIP ticket packages are like ridiculous. $119. What makes them VIP is that you get to meet the group and the characters - basically, anything that would make it worthwhile going is what makes it a vip package. And I've even been thinking of buying disney on ice tickets, but I know they're crazy prices too.

How much is too much for this stuff? Where's the line, and for mommies who been there, done that, when is it really worth the money you put out on it?

While we've never taken ours to see a show, we did take the oldest to Disney World when she was almost 3. While she enjoyed some rides and seeing the parade, she surprised us by being frightened of the Princesses.

I think it's more worth it if they'll remember it, otherwise the significance is lost.

I wouldn't spend that if it were just for her enjoyment, but it sounds like you'll get some gf time in too, so is it worth it for your enjoyment? I don't think I'd do the Disney on Ice because that would be too much sitting still for a LO.

We took my oldest to Sesame Street when she was just over two. Then took her to Barney when she was not quite three. So, seeing how she was at the different ages I'd say skip the VIP package. She liked Sesame Street, and it was well worth going. But I do not think she would have been good with meeting the characters and all that behind the scenes stuff. They are BIG, much bigger than you would think. By the time we went to Barney though, she would have been great with the meeting of the characters. I think she'll be old enough to go to the show, but I'd really think about whether she will like meeting the characters. As for Disney on Ice, I'd definately wait til she's a little older, since that one won't be interactive like Mickey would be.

Good feedback...that's sort of how I was thinking too! I can't envision spending that kind of money for a kids show...I hardly like spending that for an adult concert. And I was really trying to figure out if this is just a bit too early yet.

Thanks again!

OMG..I thought I responded... ANyway I agree madelynsmomma. I would possible buy tickets, just not the VIP ones. I would also wait on the Disney on Ice. Caden went for the first time when he was 3 and loved it!!!
