Ok so my little ole neighbor guy is always so sweet. He is starting to go down hill but still lives by himself and does everything for himself. Anyways today he brought over a box of chocolates for a christmas gift. (sweet right) I thanked him and wished him a merry christmas and came inside to chow on my yummy chocolate. I bring the box in to open it and notice that the box was opened and that he taped it. So I opened the tape and opened the box...3 pieces were missing hahahha. I closed it and looked at (one of the two cause he forgot he already put one on) To and From label he put on it and he left the to blank and he wrote his name in this is what he wrote...Jerrry.
I feel so bad. I think he just forgets what he is doing and gave us a box he already opened??
I mean he forgot he put a label on it already so he put 2 and who spells their name wrong? He forgot that he already put the 2 r's so he put a third one.

Question is should I let my kids eat it?
I really dont think he would poison us but its still kinda scary. Should I just throw it out.
I am def. going to make him some cookies or something in return...I joking told my sister I was going to take a bite out of 3 of them. HAHAHHA
Anyways what would you ladies do?

I'm guessing he regifted them, and yes, the extra letter is not uncommon for dimentia actually!

he may have opened them and then later decided to regift and forgot that he opened them already

I probably wouldn't be worried about them if he's got dementia. If you're worried though, no harm in throwing them out.

I probably wouldn't think anything of it. I would taste one myself first then go from there cause who knows how old they could be?

If your worried just toss them he won't know any better.

I would probably just toss them, not because i think he would do anything to harm you but because who knows how old they are

I tasted one. They were just fine. hahah I actually tasted more than one cause I got on a roll. But Im going to let my kids just have at em.
