Family functions do you have around the holidays?

We have three.
1. Weekend before Christmas we drive to MI to see my mom's entire side of the family. So fun.
2. Christmas Eve is at DH's Grandma's house and that is his extended family.
3. Christmas Day in the morning is just us, but then in the afternoon my Dad, and DH's parents come over for gifts and early dinner etc.

Luckily and yet kinda sad none. Downside to being away from family more so now that we have kids.

If we go home it would be 3. My parents Christmas eve and then Christmas Day split up between DH's parents.

I guess you could say two.

On Christmas Eve, we always get together with my whole family (parents, siblings and their SO's and their kids, aunt, uncle, cousins and their kid). The kids are given their gifts from the aunts, uncles and older cousins and can open them since we don't see them on Christmas day.

On Christmas morning, we spend a few hours here at our house while the kids open their gifts. We then head to my parents house, along with my brother and sister and we do presents, lunch and dinner there.

There are 2 or 3 parties that our families are having... we are going to none or maybe one?.
1 of them we wasnt invited to. nice I know but thats our family.
the other one we are invited to but big family fight this summer and I refuse to be in the same room as my aunt. So we arent going to any of those parties anymore
And if my mom has a Christmas day dinner will will go to that but she hasnt said anything to me yet.

We hang out at my in laws on Christmas Eve and I sometimes go to midnight mass with MIL. On Christmas morning we go over there for coffee cake and open our presents. We go back over for Christmas dinner and my mom usually joins us there.

We have a very small family here, but everyone's birthdays are around this time, so there is always something to do. It actually starts in Nov. with DH's birthday and then it's my 2 nephews the first week of Dec. Then my birthday 2 weeks before Christmas. My aunt is next.
The big dinner is on Christmas Eve though. We take turns between my mom, us and my sister. This year we are actually skipping it and everyone is doing Christmas Eve on their own . We are going to my mom's Christmas Day instead.
Then DH's dad will probably be coming over on Boxing Day. Hopefully things will calm down a bit after that.
