Grown up time

Do you get to have any time where it's just you or you and SO without any kids? What do you do with it?

I'm super lucky because we live close to my mom and my in-laws and they all love to babysit Ellie so they can play with her. My mom usually comes over to our house on Thursday nights so that DH and I can play video games with our friends and his parents take her on Sunday mornings so we can hang out with friends or get housework done. They're all also pretty good about babysitting if we want a night out sometimes. We may actually be able to take Ellie out of the babysitter's next year because my mom just retired and MIL is retiring at the end of this school year so between the two of them, they can watch her during the day.

no we dont have any of that time

the only us time we get is if both kids are sleeping at the same time.

I only get time when Kenzie is in the bed sleep but most of the times I fall alseep too lol. She goes to sleep late.

Not very often. Once in a while we get to see a movie, and usually we have to plan it when the kids are at school. It's hard to get someone to come over nowadays.

Seriously, we don't get any of that time unless Claire is sleeping. We haven't been out to dinner without her since she was born. We don't live near family and moved across the country this fall...maybe someday we'll get a babysitter

Not too often do we get alone time. Pretty much only when they go to bed at 8pm. And by then we're too tired to do anything. I actually got to go out Saturday night with no DH or kids in tow. My neighbor lady invited me to a Candlelight Dinner at her church. It was actually fun. Nice dinner and got to meet a bunch of other ladies my age. My Dad and StepMom lives just over an hour away and DH's parents live 3 hours away. So they don't see the kids very often. If they do we're always there too so we can visit with them.

The only real us time we get is when we're able to watch tv at night after they've gone to bed. We only go on dates during special occasions, like anniversaries. That's about it.

Not very often, since we don't have family living close (1 hr away) and the family is not capable due to health issues to watch Sophia.

I went out w/ some friends (w/o DH) on Friday. It was so nice. I wish I could do that more often. Last time DH and I went to the movies was for the new Harry Potter. I have a few friends that would babysit for me- but they live far away, too. But I could take them up on the offer to watch Sophia.

I would like a babysitter close by.

Not unless both kids are asleep.
I have used Dating Divas to get in home date nights and so far they all have been a huge hit with DH.

The Dating Divas | Strengthening Marriages, One Date At A Time

Its a blog on date nights and just a bunch of things to do.

I have done the Baby Its Cold Outside only instead of watching Elf we watched Glee.
I was being a major jerk and didn't want to just say sorry. So I used the idea of buying beef jerky and left a note saying sorry for being such a jerk. He loved it...lol

This month we are doing the Pirates Theme for a date or I am going to make my own to see Hangover 2.

we don't usually go out anywhere together, just me and DH. we went out for dinner and a movie on his birthday a couple of weeks ago. otherwise we just hang out together at home and watch movies and stuff.

I do get to go out by myself more now, to the grocery store or more recently to pick up some stuff for the kids.

lol! I love the jerky idea! I may have to borrow that. I hate apologizing.
