Thank you so much ladies. I don't have much to say about it now- still in shock/denial, I think. I have an appt. tomorrow with the OB who did my last D&C. He is really wonderful and I am fairly confident he will be able to get me in for surgery by Monday.

I am so sorry Alisha. I hope you are able to get your D&C quickly and that it goes smoothly and you recover quickly. I pray that you are able to grieve your loss however you need.

 I'm so sorry. My very first pregnancy I lost the baby at 13 weeks as well. It's not easy. But I hope you can find the strength & courage to get through it.

Katie, I am sorry to hear you went through this. Do you mind if I ask whether you passed the baby naturally or did you have a D&C? I have heard that passing a baby at this point is very painful.
I had my appt today and was not able to get in for surgery until Monday. The doctor said I need to stay in the area for at least 3 days in case of infection or complication. This will delay our travels just a day or two, so it's not too bad.
I was able to see the baby on ultrasound today. He or she is beautiful  Perfectly formed, with little arms and legs. Just no movement or heartbeat. Baby is measuring at 12 weeks 2 days... but because s/he has been consistently 3-4 days behind in previous ultrasounds I am pretty sure the heart stopped the same day I last heard the heartbeat (12 weeks, 5 days).
This miscarriage is so different from the previous 3 because I was further along, felt very confident about things, and had listened to the heartbeat several times a week. I felt more bonded to the baby than any loss I have had before. Despite that, I am doing okay right now. I am wondering how things will be next week after the baby is no longer in my body and it is truly over. I am hoping to do some sort of memorial service with just our little family- maybe plant a tree or something. I have two pictures from the ultrasound today and may put them in a keepsake/memory box.
Thanks for listening. It feels good to get my thoughts out. It also feels good to have a DDC/PlayRoom that I don't have to drop out of.

oh, I am so, so sorry. my heart is aching for you and your baby. will you find out the gender and name it? I couldn't imagine having to endure this, and right before the holidays.
