I came across this information while looking for a good Monday Milestone post. Just copy and bold what your child is doing. I grabbed the information for 17 and 18 months. London can't do some of this things, but I'm just curious what other toddlers are doing!!

Say up to 10 or 15 words

Become picky about certain foods

Separation anxiety lessens

Run well

Uses certain words regularly

Some toddlers could possibly be able to . . .

Talk more clearly

Kick ball in forward direction

Like to sort toys

String more words together to make phrases or puts together pairs of words

Brush teeth with help

Month 18

Most toddlers should be able to . . .

Draw a scribble well

Run well

Become picky about certain foods

Say at least 15 or 20 words

Feed self with spoon

Some toddlers will probably be able to . . .

String more words together to make phrases or puts together pairs of words

Talk more clearly

Brush teeth with help

Take off an article of clothing alone

Jump around

Some toddlers could possibly be able to . . .

Take apart toys and sometimes puts them back together

Maggie is doing a lot of that - though, when I tell her to come here, I think she believes it's meant to direct her to run as fast as can be in the other direction...

She's up to using some 3 word sentences too!

Juliana is doing all of that except perhaps the separation anxiety lessening. She's never really had separation anxiety but right now she's going through a clingy phase, which I think it due to teething.

We're still on 2-word sentences. In fact, at the moment the only 2-word sentences I can think of start with "more". "More da da," etc. She tries to say 3-syllable words but they don't come out right (example - battery is "ba ba bee").

Leah is doing a lot of that stuff. Not so much the verbal things though. She says some words regularly, but no where near stringing things together. She's super physical and strong.

London is also doing alot of those, except showing signs of PT, climbing out of crib and high chair and the separation anxiety lessening. It seems like she cries more than ever!
