So if you had three items to pay for at a dept. store. You put them up on the counter and you question one of the prices of one of those items. She leaves to find out. She comes back and tells you its more on sale than you thought. Score...your happy.

So there are STILL three items on the counter....she price adjusts the one item and does whatever with the other two....gives you the total and your happy becuase of that one that is cheaper than you thought you pay.

She is now on the next person and you realize that she didn't ring up ONE of your three items....

A while ago we were at the used bookstore and someone had given Noah a book to play with and did not know it until we were in the next store and he hit me on the head with it, we went back to the books store and paid the 26 cents for it.

I've also done that at Walmart when a 5 pack of Kool-aid got stuck under my purse and I went back into pay for it and they thought I was crazy because it was only $1

I bring it to her attention. We've had it happen before and I sent DH back in.

I'm awful, but I think I'd just keep it moving. I just feel like it would take more time and energy to do all of the explaining and checking out again. Especially if I had Leah with me...I would want to be on my merry way and not have to entertain her in order to fix the mistake.

I would say something. I try to set a good example for the kids and have had to do this a couple times when they forgot to ring up dog food on the bottom of the cart etc. We go back in, pay for it, and I explain to the kids what happened. To the point where if they are holding candy or something in the line the whole time they are telling the cashier to ring it up and double checking with me that we paid for it.
