How many of you have started taking down decorations already? I need to take down our tree since I haven't remembered to water it since Christmas eve, so it's going to start dropping needles like crazy soon. I never really got around to putting up many other decorations around the house.

Did you get a favorite gift this season? If so, what was it? DH's parents babysat Ellie one day last week and as a surprise, they took her to get her portraits done. They gave us some BEAUTIFUL pictures in frames and then gave us the rest of the portraits on a CD so we can print more. They are just lovely!

What is your LO's favorite gift? We gave Ellie a kitchen set and she just adores it! She stopped between every present to go play with it some more! She also got a Radio Flyer wooden pedal-less tricycle from DH's brother that she's having a blast with. She finally figured out how to scoot forward instead of backwards.

Do you have plans for New Year's? Are there any traditions that you usually keep? We're going to have friends over and probably hang out in the backyard around the fire pit. I'm going to make pork and sauerkraut in the crockpot, since that's our traditional New Year's food.

How many of you have started taking down decorations already? Not yet, I'm too lazy. Plus DH decorates the tree and he's the one to take it down. I just clean up the messes. We'll probably take it down 1st week of Jan.

Did you get a favorite gift this season? If so, what was it? We don't do gifts for us, just the kids. This year we got the Blackberry tablet for each other, when it came on sales. That was our Christmas present to ourselves.

What is your LO's favorite gift? I actually think that her aboslute favourite thing right now is an old doll of Isabelle's. None of the presents she got interest her very much.

Do you have plans for New Year's? Are there any traditions that you usually keep? We 'try' to stay up until midnight, but usually end up going to bed early.
