Do you still use one? If so when will you break them from it? or will you let them throw it out? what age do you think a child should stop using one?

Claire still uses hers. I try to let her have it only when she is in her crib, but sometimes if she asks for it I give in. I would like to eliminate it by her 2nd birthday.

Miranda still uses hers, but only for sleeping. With my other kids I took it away cold turkey when they were around 18 months, but that;s because they were hooked on the paci and I couldn't understand what they were saying and always had sores around the mouth. Miranda doesn't care for it at all, except to fall asleep and even then she spits it out during the night. So I"m not rushing to take it away at thig point. She'll probably just wean herself off it.
I think a child should not use one past the age of 2.

Isaac never took one. Eva was really attached to hers and used it at bed time and nap time until she was 3.

Ellie never would take one. I kind of wish I'd gotten her to take one for sleeping so she wouldn't still be nursing all night long, but it's nice not to have to worry about weaning her off of it.

Rosie still has hers. She steals Joshua's too. The child would only take one kind so I started Joshua out on a different one thinking it would help. Nope she decided she wanted them too.
But unless she is not feeling well or having a really bad day they stay in her crib. It part of the routine when getting up. She is the one that tosses it into the crib and for the most part we have no issues with it.

Brendan uses them at nap and bedtime and leaves it in the crib most morning. I'd like him off of it by the time he's 2 as well.

Brynlie never took one until I stopped nursing her. Then she went from nursing to a binky. She has one in her mouth all the time it seems. I will probably take it away somewhere around 2. I might start letting her only have it at night but I dont think thats going to go over too well. ahhaha

Hallie still has hers. She was doing so well not taking it. Only having it at naps, not feeling well or bedtime. This week she has had it 24/7. Really 24/7. She will not remove it from her mouth and if I try to take it from her she screams bloody murder. I was hoping to start weaning her of it at 18 months. I'm really in no hurry to get it away from her. 3 is my absolute limit. But 2 would be ideal.

Alivia still has hers. My other two kids are thumb suckers and honestly I would rather Alivia have the pacifier than pick that habit up, so I don't mind her having it.
Right now, she will put it in her mouth whenever she feels like it. Usually she's tired. Sometimes she will find a bunch, sit on the floor and just try them all.
She does use one for nap and bed.
I will try to take it away by 2. I don't want her to go any older than that really. We'll just have to see when the time comes.

Yeah Rosie has a secret stash I swear. When we moved her crib we found like 10. All ones that I swore we lost..lol I am hoping by 2 to get rid of it but I am in no huge rush either.
