I don't know if anyone remembers me but Krislati tracked me down and dragged me back for an update.

Our not-so-little girl is pretty crazy now and lots of fun! Ashlyn is around 30lbs and 33" tall as of her last check up. She's got a mouth full of teeth, something like 13 now but I'm not willing to put my finger in to check! She says all kinds of crazy things like 'ow!', 'more', 'cat', 'oof oof' (dog), 'fish', 'toe', etc. She's quite the climber and loves to sit in a regular chair instead of the high chair. She's eating with a fork and spoon now but still hates sippy cups. I've found one kind she'll take and we're trying to phase out all the bottles now (finally!). Her absolute favorite activity is bath time. She would run around naked in the tub or pool 24/7 if she could!

Gemma is turning 7 in March and she's in first grade. She was diagnosed with severe ADHD last year. We knew she had it but we'd been dodging the diagnose to avoid the medications. If only we'd known the difference it would make! She went from being my problem child to being a blast and fairly well behaved! The side effect has been that she stopped gaining weight. No matter how much we feed her she doesn't gain and hasn't since February. The doctor says her body will catch up soon though and as long as she doesn't lose weight we're okay for now. Her teachers say she's one of the brightest kids they've ever taught but she's also a handful! She can turn anything around and manipulate people to get her way! It's crazy to hear her spin things like she's an attorney in a court room! To help deal with her crazy energy she's been playing spring and fall soccer and running 5k races with DH and I. She's actually pretty good. Her fastest so far is 39 minutes! We're very proud of how far she's come this year in every way!

I don't have a ton of new pics so here's some semi-recent ones:

So how is everyone? I've missed you all but I've been crazy busy with my new job and school. I'm eager to hear how all our babies are progressing!

It's so nice to hear your update!! Sounds like things are going great.
Glad to hear that Gemma is doing good on her meds. If I may ask what kind has she been put on? My DS also has been diagnosed with severe ADHD and I have to talk to his dr. about possibly putting him on something.
We are doing great. Miranda is growing like a weed and is a little Shmonkey. She climbs on everything and is such a little drama queen.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you stick around.

Ashlynn and Gemma are so cute I cant believe Gemma can do 5K in 39 minutes thats awesome, i doubt i could even run 5 K let alone do it that fast!!

lets see whats new with us, Ross is 17 months now, hes walking, he still doesnt say to many words that i can understand, but he "talks" 24/7 and hes really starting to understand what others are saying to him, and hes sleeping in his big boy bed, and FINALLY sleeping through the night (most of the time) Hes a big brother now, our 2nd baby was born in October, his name is Will. Adjusting was tough on Ross at first but now hes great

here are a few pics

Thanks for stopping by Sara!

That is awesome that Gemma could run a 5k in 39 minutes, how impressive. I couldn't even do it in an hour...lol.

Ash is getting so big, what happened to these little babies. They are growing way to fast. Tommy is like Ash, he loves his bath. When I try to take him out, he has a complete meltdown! He would stay in there all day if I let him.

Thanks for sharing the pics, your girls are adorable.

Don't be a stranger...stick around for a while! :-)

Ok, I have a minute to sit now.

Ellie loves bathtime and swimming too! She will run for the bathroom after dinner and just hang out in there and wait for you to run the bath for her. She's starting to talk up a storm as well and is learning so many new words every week. I'm just waiting for her to wake up one morning and start talking in sentences. She has 10 teeth that are all the way out right now and I think she's working on 3 more. Quite the smile on her!

Here's a recent photo of her.

Wow! All our babies are so big! And I can't believe some of us have had another too! DH has refused to do anything permanent here. I feel complete with our two but he wants to leave the door open. I just hope we don't have an oops! I have a little more time lately because I'm on the break between semesters but classes kick back up at the end of the month. I'll try not to disappear entirely again!

I forgot to answer Tish's question! Gem is on Adderall. We started at 5mg and then went to 10mg. Recently she moved up to 15mg after her behavior started to revert. Apparently, growing in height but not in weight still necessitated an increase.

nice to see you again! thanks for updating us
I don't know if you already do this, but apparently just a change in diet alone can help with ADHD.

my kiddos are doing great, Nathan is a busy boy. very happy and silly, and so sweet.

Nice to see you. Girls are so cute. That is pretty amazing 5k in 39 minutes.

Rosie is a crazy wild child she loves bath time too she is 16 months and just so fun. She has an attitude and loves to help. I had a baby boy Joshua in Oct. Was a complete surprise and was tough. Rosie was not happy at all but now she adores him. I love watching her interact with him. They have their own little language.

Hope you stick around.
