Do you let your LO play with crayons? Do they know how to hold it? Could they color on paper? Will they eat it?

Not yet. He's been given them a couple times at restaraunts, and they go straight into his mouth. Even after being shown what to do.. so I don't think he's quite ready yet.

Rosie has some big ones. She knows what to do with them. We have had a few instances where she has colored on things like the TV or bathroom door. She loves to scribble though so we have started making her sit at the table. She also has bath crayons that she loves.

I haven't ever let Claire have a crayon.

Grandma bought her an Aquadoodle for Christmas, and that is awesome! For those of you that haven't seen them, it is a white mat with a marker that you put water into. When the tip of the "marker" touches the mat, it "colors" the mat. As the water dries, the drawing disappears so you have a clean surface again. It is wonderful because if she puts the marker in her mouth or draws on the couch, it is not a big deal.

Hallie has crayons. She loves them. She occasionally puts them in her mouth. She does color on paper, but has made it to a few other things too. She is uber supervised when she has them. Unless we accidently leave them out....

Lauren loves to draw and color but she won't keep crayons out of her mouth. I almost tasted one the other day to see what the big deal was! ak

No. I won't for awhile. He'll either eat them or try to color on things he shouldn't.

Josh knows what to do with them, but not how to hold them. He gets bored quickly and starts throwing them. They also end up in his mouth a lot. My oldest doesn't know how to properly hold them either.
