How does your LO do in the car? Love it? Hate it? Are they still rear facing?

Ellie usually doesn't mind riding in the car unless she's in a bad mood before she gets in. If that happens, sometimes she will scream for the whole ride. She is still rear-facing and it doesn't seem to bother her since she doesn't know any different.

She is fine until I get into the car lol! She faces the front. The car seat her grandparents brought her is made to face the front. It gets on my nerves but it was a gift so I am grateful.

Davidson is foward facing and a roadtrip was a great idea a few months ago when we drove to north carolina & kentucky but now I dont think I would consider it. He is such a busy guy I think he would go insane in a car right now.

im lucky, both boys love the car, and usually fall asleep on longer trips

Ross is also FF im not happy about it but DH is 6'2-3 and our car isnt the big so the only place we can fit a RFing seat is behind me, so thats where Will is

Bishop is still RF and loves the car. He sleeps in it or plays with a few toys. He has a brother to look at and when we went downstate, which is a 4 hour trip he did fantastic.

Tommy ususally does ok on roadtrip if we leave at 5 in the morning, he will stay awake for the first hour sleep 3 then be up for the last hour. Our typical road trip is 5-6 hrs. We've done it several times and only had one that was unbearable. We hit major traffic and he was stuck in the car for 7 hrs. We usually bring some toys, Lily will play with him. I'm thinking of getting a portable dvd player.

Josh is forward facing. He does pretty good in the car. He sleeps half the time when we drive to my IL's 3 hours away. But towards the end he is getting fussy.

Sophia is RF. She does good when we go for an hour car ride. We have done longer car rides when she was 8 months old and it was horrible- she SCREAMED the entire trip. We haven't done anything more than an hour in a while. I think she would get bored on a long car ride- maybe a portable DVD player is not such a bad idea. Do they make kid friendly ones?

Claire is an awesome little traveler. She is RFing, and as long as she has a stuffed-animal to talk to, she is a happy camper!
