Our dentist recommended around age 4, unless we notice a problem beforehand.

I haven't yet. I'm going to have the pediatrician look at Ellie's teeth at her 18 month appointment and see if she thinks she needs to be seen by a dentist. Her two top front teeth are not even and I'm not sure what's going on with them. The outside edges of them look normal, but the middle of both of them where they meet are not as long as the rest of the tooth, so it kind of leaves a gap. It almost looks like they are chipped but they've been like that for as long as I can remember. It just looks more pronounced now that those teeth are all the way in, so I want to find out if it's something I should be worried about.

I haven't either, I'm think around 2 or 3. Lily didn't go until she was 3.

Nope, our dentist recommends 3 years old. So my oldest will be going when he turns 3 in March.

Mine has been seen, but sort of casually while I was in for my own appt. My cousins are our dentists, so, they are always looking in her mouth. Dentists are weird people...LOL.
Anyway, we know she has a frenulum that will have to be snipped, and that she will probably need braces later on, but so far, they're pretty impressed with what they see. They've told me to bring her in as soon as all of her teeth have come through. We have the two year molars to come in still I think, and that's it.
