August is a big harvesting month...what about corn huskers or something like that? I don't mind the idea of being little campers either. That's pretty gender neutral.

hmmm...what else do you do in the dead heat of August other than bask in the indoor air conditioning?

ohhh. What about Little Swimmers? Or Little Guppies, Tadpoles? Could be age appropriate for most of our kids too given this will be the first year they can really get into swimming and stuff.

I like something to do with camping.

But, we went camping the week of Sam's first birthday and plan to do it every year.
