So is anyone else here gearing up for potty training? We tried for 24 hours this week, and I have officially given up until I can come up with a better strategy. I am not looking forward to it at all.

Anyone else who has been there done that, please, any and all advice is fully appreciated! I'm lost! I've even been surfing around on the potty training board, and am looking for real practical advice that won't have me in panic attacks about my white carpets!

Maggie slept terribly last night. I think I traumatized her with the potty.

We won't be doing potty training until Isaac is closer to 3 unless he shows signs that he is ready before that. Every once in a while I sit him on the potty just to get him used to it. He tells me when he needs to poop (he signs potty) and so I will sit him on the toilet but he hasn't pooped in the toilet yet. He won't stay on it long enough.

So, suggestions for what we should name our team?

O'Man!!! I kinda giggled when I read this! I wouldn't rush it honestly Becky..I'm going to wait until she shows alot of signs that she is ready. I think I made the mistake with Caden and started him when he wasn't because I thought it was the "right" thing to do. Everyone was in my ear about he should be in underwear by now and I was also noticing his peers already using the potty. Anyway I started him at first right before his 2 birthday and this kid wasn't potty trained fully until he hit 3!!!! He was stubborn and it became a power struggle!!!

Hey ladies.
Well Rosie slept great last night thank god she has been waking up and playing at night. Its funny to hear her but at the same time its like go back to sleep. Because she starts yelling for daddy.

We just bought Rosie a potty chair but she isn't into it that much. I figure we will have it to have it out for her but I have no desire yet to really start training her. Josh thinks we need to and doesn't understand that she will do it when she is ready.

No help on a team name. I am so not creative.

So what is the plan for today?

Hey ladies,

Tommy slept wonderful last night but of course he was up with the roosters at 6am as usual.

We haven't started potty training yet either, Tommy doesn't even seem interested yet. I have put him on the potty but he cried.

Our plans for the day were going to Tommy's well check up, we are late on his 15month since we moved and it took forever for our old dr's office to forward the records, then it took forever to get the appointment so he had his 15-18 month in one. He is such a peanut though he weighed 22.9 lbs and 31 inches. His weight was 20th percentile and his height was 25 th percentile. Otherwise she said he looks great and developing right on target. She wasn't worried about the weight and height since dh and I are both smaller people.

Name for our team huh....how about Chatty Mama's? IDK I'm not creative..lol

no potty training over here.
he slept okay last night, he's sick so he's been sleeping a lot.
plans for today... hmmm... survive? Nathan is finally starting to act like himself but he is still trying to recover, so we aren't out of the woods yet. I have a cold which makes me want to snooze in my bed all day long.
I need to clean up the living room, and kitchen, make food, and hopefully start cleaning out the hall closet and pack some of it away.
I have to work tonight and I REALLY don't want to

Uggh...you have a lot on your plate Lori, that sucks! I hate being sick and having so much stuff to do! I'm glad Nathan is feeling better, it's so tough to take care of the kids and yourself when everyone is sick. blah..

thanks, kristy.

it will all pay off in a few weeks when all of the house repairs are done and everything has a fresh coat of paint and we are all moved in

it's just hard to deal with sickness at any time, let alone when you have to pack and get two places ready for the move, ya know?

okay, I am done whining for today

soooooooo, everyone tell me 5 things about yourself!

LMAO..sometimes all it takes is a pair of socks. Sometimes I just need to get out by myself even if that is grocery shopping.

The weather here is about 50 today, feels like spring, how about your area?
