Have you had a scare with your LO?

A few weeks ago, Ellie tripped and landed on her face and I thought she had knocked out her two front teeth. There was blood everywhere but thankfully her teeth had just cut her lip.

Too many to count! She's bumped herself quite a few more times than I remember her sister ever doing, but she's a lot more active too. One of the more recent ones was when someone decided to hand her a SPARKLER on New Year's! I could smell her burned skin

We had that happen yesterday plus her nose was bleeding a little. This is the second fall she had. The first time I called the pediatrician in a panic. LOL. First time mommy panic!

She also bumped her head on the sidewalk when she fell and had a bruise.

Luckily nothing major where we had blood or I thought maybe we should take her in. But she has had her share of bumps and falls. I had just had Joshua and Rosie was heading upstairs I was nursing and she was going up by my mom. Well she decided to come back down adn fell down the last few stairs. Its scared me because it could have been a lot worse. She cried for a minute or two then took off playing.

Sarah took a tumble with a chair and I thought she'd broken her nose.

nothing major, he did get his fingers pinched in MILs door because DH was not paying attention, he was screaming so much i thought we might end up in the ER with broken fingers, but once he calmed down he was moving them all fine

nothing major here either. she's tumbled down a stair and runs smack dab into walls. Trips and falls a lot, but the worst I guess we've had is that she bumps her head into the fridge door (the bottom of the door is exactly the right height to connect with her noggin), and she keeps getting her fingers caught in our glass shower door. But no bleeding or rushing in for ER visits for that.

Our worst scares have been when she gets fevers. Full stop, those things scare the bejeebers out of me now.

I tend not to panic unless there's blood and no crying.

We have had two really rough scares with Wyatt....he moved the pack and play which we use as a barrier and got to the stairs and the gate was left open...by the time I got to him he was going down the stairs head first! Crazy scary moment!

The second was just after he turned one, we were taking him for a walk in the wagon instead of the stroller (DH's idea) and he was sitting so nice for most of the ride we didn't think anything of it and DH and I were talking and walking...DH saw him stand up out of the corner of his eye while I was pulling the wagon....he twisted and streched to grab Wyatt just as he was falling head first out of the wagon toward the pavement....of course this was a couple weeks post back surgery for DH....Wyatt had a little scrape from the pavement but it could have been soooooo bad!

Aside from the usual bumps & falls, my only scary moment with her was when she was only a few weeks old. I had her in her stroller, went to grab something five feet away and DS tipped the stroller! She landed on her head & I freaked out. So far it appears there are no long term effects. However she has hit all her milestones later than DS so DH jokes it's because of that incident. Not funny, in my book!
