who's got one?
Maggie is going to give me a heart attack. She has to stand on a chair in the kitchen when I'm cooking cuz if she's not a part of the action, the meltdown is too much to handle. The other day, I caught her on the counter...she just climbed right on up there like it was nothing.
Today, the nanny caught her on the kitchen table. I'm constantly at her about leaving the bookshelves alone...my god, I want to tie her feet to the ground.

Yup Tommy is too, I have to keep all the chairs pushed in. I have fridge phonics that I keep up high and bring down when I cook because he must be where I am at all times. Unless his sister is kind of enough to hang out with him, he loves her just as much..lol

Bishop is! The child will not stay off chairs or tables. We have to literally stack our dining chairs to keep him off them.

Lennon is - his latest thing is to try to scale the entertainment center. I'm paranoid he's going to pull the tv down on him.

Add Isaac to the climber club, he's currently standing on the coffee table.

Miranda just started recently and she's becoming more and more brave. I have gates in the kitchen and dining room, so she doesn't go where I don't want her to be and now she'll pull a chair right beside it and stand on it. OMG the child is going to jump over those gates soon.
Check out the link to my 'project 365' I have a pic of her right by the gate on a chair. That's what I mean.
She must be part monkey too....I call her Shmonkey!

I've got a climber too.
if your LO is climbing bookshelves or dressers etc, just make sure they are secured to the wall. (forgive me, I just read a horrifying story about a little girl who tried to climb her dresser and it fell on her and she almost died... eek!)

Josh climbs everything too. Chairs must be pushed in. Chairs for the kid table must be kept on the freezer unless it's snack time. We have to watch him all the time, cause he climbs the stools at the counter too. Ugh...he's such a trouble maker. We were and still are lucky that DS1 is not a climber.

We have a climber/sky diver! She likes to jump into your (hopefully) waiting arms if you're within range!

Thankfully Tommy hasn't either, he likes to run from one side of the couch to the other.

THat is soo scary! My dh is soooo anal abou this stuff. He had Lily's tv bracketed into her armour then the armour bracketed to the wall. Our TV has to be mounted to the wall, he goes overboard on this kind of stuff. His really good friend from HS, has a nephew whos brother was playing behind the tv and it got knocked over on him, he now has sever brain trauma. Soo sad.

I can't recall how long ago it was, but I saw on the news about a little girl grabbing for a book from the top of the tv and having it fall on her! The poor little thing didn't make it

Uggh....I just couldn't imagine. Ours is bolted to the wall...the tv scares me so much. When we visit my parents, there's is on the entertainment center and I hate him even going near it. I want them to screw it into the shelf...lol.

I actually forced DH to do all this stuff last night. We had been lazy about it since moving in. I'm feeling much better about it today. Doesn't help me do much about the tables, but at least I'm less worried about the shelves and the tv.
