Do you have any family nearby that could watch her? I've pretty much only ever left her with her grandparents or her aunt, though for a while, one day a week while I was at work, I had to leave her with a friend of my SIL. After a while she started going to a home daycare, but yes, at first it was really hard to trust someone else to watch her.

If your dad offers and you trust him to take care of her, I'd take advantage of that, if even for a short time once in a while. Grandparents love spending time with their grandbabies and I love the bond that Ellie has with hers because she spends time with them. If you have a cell phone, just make sure they have the number or leave the number of the restaurant if you're going to dinner. Then if there's an emergency, they can call you. I really do believe it's important to have time with your SO just the two of you, even if it's rare.
