From everything I've read and observed baby's word development just kind of comes on it's own. All I can suggest is repitition. When she says Mama! And holds up her cup, I'd say, oh Audie, you found your cup good job! What a pretty blue cup! Do you have milk in your cup? and tap the cup every time you say the word. They get there eventually, promise!
everytime i ask her if she wants a cup or a drink shes laughs at me and says i want my mama. her doctor thinks she knows what shes saying and dose it just to be her he even tryed it in his office with like a role playing game with her and i was like see lol i think she just wants to drive me crazy but thanks for the idea iv bin doing that when she says mama for cup, but now its mama for everything! so im realy going to have to stay ontop of things !

I'd suggest just not giving it to her seeing what she does. If she wants a cup, for example, and calls it mama then play it up. You don't know what mama is, she can't want the cup because that's a cup and not mama. Don't necessarily wait for her to say the right word, because their vocabularies are still developing, but wait until you get a reaction that doesn't involve the word mama. KWIM?

ill try this i allways was like o no if i dont give her a drink but she is thristy thats mean, but realy it wont hurt her to go 3min without it till she stops saying mama and throwing a fit when i dont get it right away
thank your everyone for the advice, we have had a good say so fare she signed drink today for the first time so maby this is progress. we teach her some words in sign to help her talk to us when she cant say them yet so try to prevent this throwing fits till she gets it even no she cant say it yet. normally when she signes it a few weeks later the word comes out i hope the word comes soon i would take cup drink milk water something !! lol do any of your kids any any of those words?

its kinda of working. i take the cup and say i dont no what you are asking me and i keep saying that till she stops the fit then once shes calm ill get it for her and tell her what im getting. thank you all for your advice.
Glad your strategy is working! Miranda keeps calling 'mama, mama, mama, mama, mama,' but that's just cause she wants me. LOL If she were to say that all day long I would go crazy too.
