how much time do you spend a day playing with your lo or children vs howmuch time do they spend playing alone or getting into things lol. iv bin reading alot of articals on stuff like this sjut seeing what everyone thinks.
audie plays one on one with me 2 or 3 hours total aday (unless im babysitting then its me her and whatever kids) then with me and her dad and the dog an hour to two. the rest of the time is spent her free playing/ getting into trouble/ "helping" me do housework cookings and stuff.

During the day the boys play with each other and the baby I watch. At night we play with the boys for a little bit. They will let us know if they need more attention. They're really good at playing with each other. The older they get the less they need us. When kids are napping I will play with Alex a little bit and work with him on flash cards or memory game or something.
I work, so through the week, we get a few hours together each day to fit everything in. But we make the most of that time together, and playing gets incorporated into dinner preparation etc. I get more time than most working moms do by doing it this way, and because I get to work from home, I don't have commuting time cutting into our time together. So total = an hour in the morning to get ready and out the door, and then I pick her up by 4:15 and bed time is about 8pm. She loves to cook with me and I love watching her love of food evolve, so it's working for us that at least I can include the time I spend cooking dinner as time spent with her. I can't imagine getting an hour a day with her. I don't know what I'd do if I had to manage that. I think I'd go crazy. I'm so addicted to my kid.
I actually am dreading (sort of) the days ahead of us when she'll want to play with the other kids outside instead of hanging with me in the kitchen.

im not really sure, we play together off and on all day long. Ross is quite good at playing alone or playing with his brother, but i try to make sure i spend atleast a few hours a day playing with them (even if its done in 10-20 min chunks)

I don't really keep track since it's sort of in chunks as she decides she wants attention, usually for 5-15 minutes at a time. I'd say including getting ready in the morning, bathtime, bedtime, and playtime, she gets about 3 hours of my undivided attention a day and probably at least an hour with DH since he works pretty long hours. He's trying to start playing with her as soon as he gets home to give me some time to myself, and then we make dinner together and I get her ready for bed.
We also play together in increments, then when his sister gets home he likes to play with her. I try to give Lily a half hour-hour of one on one attention before bed time.

Yeah, I'm a stay at home mom so I'm with my kids all day and we play together off and on throughout the day. Both kids are pretty good a playing alone or the 2 of them together. We also have some neighbors across the street (a 5 year old and 3 year old) that come over almost every day and play for an hour or two.
Ellie usually wanders off partway through a book. Sometimes she'll just go bring me another one. I try to stop and read or play with her whenever she asks me to, just because her attention span is still pretty short, so I know I'll be able to get back to whatever I was doing soon.

Same here.

The only book we get through is Biscuits Easter book.
As far as playing I'll be honest I suck at it. I am not a get down on teh floor and play parent. I can handle 5-10 minutes of building blocks or whatever but its not my thing. DH is great. So Rosie plays a lot on her own but I am always interacting with her all day long. Rosie loves to scare people with the oven mitt/puppets and I for the life of me cannot act scared. She looks at me funny when I do it. Where she bust outs laughing when DH acts scared.
Ellie's idea of playing with me usually consists of demanding I get into her little Disney castle with the tunnel and then she piles all her toys on top of me.
