So you can't have a gun in your home for protection? Can you hunt?

here you can only own hunting guns, and when they are not in use there are pretty strict laws about how they must be stored/locked up.... its very difficult for anyone to just get a permit to have a hand gun, I know the police can have one, I dont know about normal people just owning one. I know its a crime to carry a concealed weapon here

Here it varies by state. When we were in Pa you were able to have a gun for protection and carry a consealed weapon as long as you had a permit. I don't know if you can carry a hand gun here in MA. But Dh has a permit in PA, I don't. He wanted me to have one but they just freak me out, so I will not get one.

You can have hunting permit but no, it is illegal to have a gun in your home unless it is a hunting weapon locked away only used for hunting.

LOL. I wonder how you came up with that question? And no I don't have a permit to carry a gun. I always thought you would have to be a police officer, or escort a boatload of money from the bank or be a very important influential person to have a permit? Maybe not. I never looked into it.

False. I'm not a gun person which is funny coming from my family. My dad is a big hunter and my sister and brother-in-law are both cops so I grew up around guns and am still around guns a lot. My mom has her concealed weapon permit. I don't have anything against guns, it's just not for me.
