My 35th birthday is coming up. I feel like it's going to hit me pretty hard. I haven't had too many where I felt really old yet, but with all the upheaval this year, I think this one may be it.

Have you had any birthdays that were harder to swallow than others?

My 32nd is coming up quickly. I'd like to skip it all together, except for using it to get out of housework and cooking, of course.

Not quite yet, but I'm sure it'll happen because I don't even feel like an adult yet.

This one coming up I've been thinking about a lot lately - 27. I feel like I should be so much further in my career/income level than I am now. I probably have a good 5 years on the other associate editors, and I guess I'm just feeling like time is slipping by so quickly. I don't remember feeling this badly about a birthday last year.

Well I have my 40th coming up in 1 1/2 years. I'm sure that'll be devastating! I dont feel like an adult either, I swear I was just 17.

my 25th birthday hit me pretty hard idk if it was because it was right after I told Ian I wanted a divorce or what but I cried a lot and just felt old. I'm sure my 30th birthday will hit me hard too

Babies...all of ya! I have my 38th birthday coming up. I guess I haven't really thought about it. It is kind of weird that I'll be 40 in just a few years. 40 used to seem so old to me. Sometimes I see folks my age and I think...dang...they're old looking!

I have not been bothered with my age ever, if I'm old now what will I be when I get to 60? I loved turning 30. I totally think birthdays are a reason to celebrate, they're much better than the alternative.

I more traumatized by the fact that when I'm 39 (I'm 35 now so it's still a few years aways) my oldest will be 18 and moving out.
