i usually put the shampoo in and rub it around and then let them rinse it

I do the opposite, I'll let him rub it around but I rinse it to make sure it's all out.

Haley takes her own showers now.

Spencer takes showers and has gotten pretty good at doing it himself. I try to make sure I get in there at least once a week and scrub him down really good though.

I still have to rinse out Madeleine's hair. She wouldn't even get half of it out if I let her do it.

If they are taking a bath together, I just wash both of their hair, but if Davey is taking a shower alone, I will put the shampoo in his hair (don't want him to dump a ton on his head) and let him rub it in and rinse it out.

We use the shampoo bottle with a pump on the top. I always tell him 1 or 2 pumps and that is it. It has helped save tons of shampoo because they used to dump it all out!
