But I went into my family doc today (she's Libby's doc too) because I have a uti
I hopped on the scale and since my last OB appt when I was still pregnant... I've lost 40lbs!!!!!!! I couldn't believe it. I'm now under 300 for the first time since my wedding 2 years ago... I'm just so excited. DH and I have been eating much more healthy since she's been here and of course only gaining 10 lbs during the pregnancy and having an 11 lb baby helps too. Not to mention the BF
Sorry I just had to share! I'm excited to keep this going and become a healthier me!

How did you only gain 10lbs?? Please, share your story.. I am TTC#2 and I don't want to go over a 15 pound gain. I gained 40lbs with #1 and I still haven't lost it!
Well to be honest? I didn't really do much. The only thing I changed while pregnant was the amounts I was eating. For some reason, I was unable to "pack away" the food like I could pre-pregnancy. Even Dylan will say I ate like a bird. I still ate whatever I wanted... I just literally ate only half of what I would normally have eaten pre-pregnancy. That's it!
I too didn't gain much weight with my first pregnancy.. Believe it or not, I only gained 5 lbs and I lost it all and then some when my daughter was born.. This pregnancy, I'm still below my pre-pregnancy weight.. I'm on the gestational diabetes diet and this helps keep my weight in check and I think my metabolism speeds up a bit too.. Which I don't mind at all..
Wow all you ladies are doing amazing & I love to hear the during and after part with weight loss/gain and pregnancy. Amber your doing so good! What did your doctor say??

I've only been to my family doctor, and she didn't really say much other than that since I did so well not gaining weight during the pregnancy, that she isn't surprised that I've dropped that much seeings as how I'm pretty overweight to begin with.
