Question for you ladies. I was thinking today about my wedding ring. I'm almost 7 weeks pregnant and I'm about to become probably the biggest I've been in my life LOL ANyway, my wedding ring is already stuck on my finger since I've gained quite a bit of weight since I got married. I cannot get it off. I'm wondering if when I'm 9 months pregnant is it going to cut my circulation off and my finger will fall off! Ok, so maybe a bit extreme, but you get my concern.

Has anyone had their ring cut off? Can it be repaired if it is cut off?

If I were you, I would do everything I can to get it off now. You don't want to wake up one day to where it is cutting off the circulation to your finger. Even if you don't gain a lot of wait, swelling is a common symptom, especially in the fingers. Try some soap and slide it off, and then wear it around your neck , or get it sized up. Definately better than having it cut off later on!

I had to get mine cut off when I was pregnant due to swelling. It can be fixed but they will have to fill it in & sometimes it doesn't look all that great. I would suggest taking it off your finger during your pregnancy. A lot of women wear theirs on a chain around their necks and after the baby put it back on their fingers. Also they will probably want you to take it off during delivery anyways.

I never got mine fixed. It is still in my jewelry box. In 2001 after almost divorcing, I had a "wedding ring" tattooed on my finger. This last V-day my DH surprised me with a new wedding ring set.

So try to do everything you can to get it off now before it becomes a big problem & you end up in the ER. That saw to cut it was not a pleasant experience! My DH saw a doc almost cut a woman's finger off with that thing. Not trying to scare you, he is an EMT & has seen A LOT!!

i would say definately try to get it off now. you are going to be pregnant in the summertime, if it gets hot where you are like it does here, your fingers are going to swell even more. i would soak your hand in some icewater and get it off, then put it on a chain around your neck. good luck!

Oh girl - I agree with the others - try to get it off now. You would hate for them to have to cut it off and damage your beautiful ring. Also, it could damage your finger and circulation (as you are already concerned). Good Luck!

Try by soaking your hand in really WARM soapy water -- it should come off even if it's really tight now.

i took mine off, along with my promise ring. even though i dont like to take them off, i have to. in late pregnancy, i tend to puff up some days. if your ring is tight now, it will def. get stuck and i've read in plenty of places that you should concider not wearing rings that can become difficult to remove.
