How do you ladies react when someone looks at you after you tell them you're pregnant..and they don't believe that you are....and think that you're just overweight??? I haven't had this situation yet but I have my response....I let you know after I hear your thoughts......what would you say? how would you feel?
I haven't had anyone say to me that I'm not pregnant, but I definately feel like I just look fatter, and not pregnant. People that know I am pregnant, say I look pregnant, but I never believe them! Haha.
When I wear maternity shirts, you can tell I am pregnant, but I still wear some regular shirts as well and with those you can't tell so much.
I've had people ask me before when I was due... when I wasn't pregnant. It's embarrassing for both people, but moreso for me.
We were at the grocery store 1 week after I had a VERY difficult labor, then c-section. My DH was in the check-out line & I went to sit down b/c I was really light-headed. An older lady sat down next to me & asked if I was alright. I told her I had just given birth & wasn't feeling good. She said "really, I was going to ask you when you were due." I just looked at her and said "thank you" and went to join my DH so I didn't have to deal with her. She looked pretty embarrassed though.
So I just basically let her see her snide little remark didn't affect me & she was speechless.
Thank you KimberlyD0 for my absolutely beautiful siggy!
Funny I just had that happen to me yesterday by one of DH's friends moms. We ran into them at the mall and she said " You're pregnant?"
its rediculously more than obvious that im 9 months pregnant. i couldnt think of anything sarcastic to say as a come back. so me and DH just kinda looked at each other. but she's always been a little rude to DH.
the only person who always seems to have something to say is my MIL. "big SHOCKER!" lol. when i was in my second trimester, she always had comments like "when you wear that t shirt you cant tell you're pregnant it just looks like you gained weight"
