my 1 hour was 113, so im going back tomorrow morning for my 3 hour. uh i thoguht i beat the GD this time around i worked so darn hard. oh well, they want to schedual a c section (even though i want a vbac) so i'll prob have the baby really soon anyhow.

if took your 1 hour and your BS was really high and you fasted before taking the test, most likely you'll fail the 3 hour. sorry to break it to ya. but good luck.

You never know tho, I haven't failed any of my GD tests, but my sister in law failed her 1 hour bad! We were sure she would fail the 3 hour and she passed with flying colors! So don't give up hope, you never know what can happen.

That's weird. I was diagnosed with GD at 24 wks. My 1hr score was 160 if I remember correctly. And I've been able to manage my GD with diet alone. My OB is actually treating me as a "normal" pregnancy, because my blood sugar has been under control so well.

And keep in mind, something like 80-90% of the women who fail their 1hr test pass the 3hr test, so you've still got a good chance not to have it!

Good luck!

My doc decided to test me early in pregnancy instead of waiting until later. I want a VBAC and he thought this would be a good way to prevent GD now instead of trying to correct it later.
My 1 hour came back at 170. I decided to skip the 3 hour and go straight to the dietian and do the finger pokes, etc. Now I am not so sure I have GD. My fasting blood sugar is always below 80 and my post breakfast, lunch, dinner blood sugar levels have all been under 120. So I wonder if stress was the reason my level was high at my one hour test.
I really dont mind monitoring my blood sugar though because now I can make sure I do my best not to have a big baby and give myself a chance for a vbac.
Chances are that my blood sugar may get worst the further along I get in pregnancy anyhow so this to me is a pretty good way of making sure I can control it.
GL with the 3 hour!

Mine is coming up too - and I so hope I pass the 1 hour. I don't think I would be able to give myself injections and DH hates needles.
