I've been reading posts on this board for a while and decided to finally post myself. I am due in October (yay!) and have a question. When were you ladies able to first hear the baby's heartbeat with a doppler in the dr's office? I went yesterday, and he couldn't hear it. I have to go back to see him again for a prenatal next Wed, I'll be fourteen weeks then. There's a mom in my DDC who got her's at 10.5 weeks. I imagine a 130lb mom would have less in the way than I would (way off 130lbs!). He said I have a 50% chance of hearing it at 14 weeks. When were you ladies able to first hear it?
i really wish i could help u better but i went to the doctors pretty late so by the time i heard the heartbeat i was probably around almost 20 weeks..and the doctor had no trouble finding his heartbeat at all..i hope your next appt goes well and u get to hear the heartbeat!
I know how disappointing it is not to be able to hear your baby's heartbeat. With my DD the doctor was able to pick it up at 9 weeks, but with this pregnancy I went at 11 weeks and he wasn't able to pick it up. He picked it up at my last appointment at 15 weeks.
