I've been reading posts on this board for a while and decided to finally post myself. I am due in October (yay!) and have a question. When were you ladies able to first hear the baby's heartbeat with a doppler in the dr's office? I went yesterday, and he couldn't hear it. I have to go back to see him again for a prenatal next Wed, I'll be fourteen weeks then. There's a mom in my DDC who got her's at 10.5 weeks. I imagine a 130lb mom would have less in the way than I would (way off 130lbs!). He said I have a 50% chance of hearing it at 14 weeks. When were you ladies able to first hear it?

Hey! Welcome to the group! We're excited to have you here!!

I was able to hear the heartbeat by doppled for the first time at 15 weeks and I have lots of extra weight around my middle...plus an anterior placenta..I think you should be good to go at 14 weeks!

I know how disappointing it is not to be able to hear your baby's heartbeat. With my DD the doctor was able to pick it up at 9 weeks, but with this pregnancy I went at 11 weeks and he wasn't able to pick it up. He picked it up at my last appointment at 15 weeks.

The first time I got to hear the heartbeat was at 16 weeks. I probably would have heard it earlier but didn't have any appointments between my first prenatal visit at 7 weeks and that one

I was able to hear it at my 12 weeks and again at 16 weeks. I know everyone is different though, so don't stress.
