How is everyone coping with cravings....I can't say that I have had a whole bunch of cravings but I have had some and usually end up giving in after fighting the urge for a while...There have been times that I have been able to resist the urge too...
How about you? What are you craving.and are you indulging or resisting?
Let's see - I am real lucky this pregnancy - I have a taste for fruits and veggies. Oranges are my favorite - especially if I cut them into wedges and put them in the fridge to cool a bit - YUMMMM-O!!! With my first pregnancy - I craved pasta dishes - any and all kinds. I gave in of course. I do remember with my first pregnancy that I would be starving - just literally going to eat the cardboard off of the boxes - I would fix this huge entire meal.....and then when hubby and I would sit down to eat - and I would say "on second thought...."
I wouldn't be hungry any longer and would eat something entirely different. GO FIGURE???? Crazy stuff these pregnancy hormones!!!!!!
I usually give in to my cravings but in small portions. If I want chocolate I'll have strawberries with just a little bit of chocolate dipping sauce. If I want something sweet I'll usually go for watermelon, one scoop of ice cream or fat free chocolate pudding. It is wrong to deprive your body of what it wants, I just try not to go overboard and have whatever I want in moderation.
I don't deal well with cravings..........I just give in to them. Right now I'm eating my favorite snack, microwave popcorn mixed with peanut M&Ms. It's so great, you add the M&Ms while the popcorn is really hot and right after it comes out of the microwave and the chocolate melts right inside the candy shell and when you bite into a handful the chocolate practically bursts out into your mouth.
