Does your doctor measure your fundal height when you go for appointments? Mine doesn't....I'm guessing its because measurements would be inaccurate since I am overweight...I do have to have a fetal growth assessment ultrasound on April 21...
Mine does... and that's how she figured I was measuring two weeks ahead... little does she know I only had sex ONE time I can't be due ahead of the date they've given me... the last time before that was in August (conceived in October)...
I don't like my doctors and how they treat me! It bothers me... but I have gained quite a bit of weight... in my opinion I have cut back my portions (from before pregnancy) and I'm still gaining... it's frustrating...
I have gained a total of 29 pounds... and 12 of that was in the 4 weeks before my last appt!
At my last appt (24 weeks) he checked mine. He found the top of my uterus by pushing gently on my tummy. He said he still figured my EDD for the end of July (he had told me July 20th). At my u/s the measurements of the baby put him at July 23rd.
AJ (age 7) & Katie (age 2.5) PM to see if I am available to make a siggy - decisions will be made on a case by case basis.
My doctor only checked once, I think. But I ended up having 5 ultrasounds too so that might be why. I'm not sure if it has to do with size but I would guess that most doctors that have been around awhile can tell, just by looking and feeling, if you are on track.

My doctor started measuring me around week 20 or 24. Plus I have had a total of 5 ultrasounds this pregnancy. The last one I was supposedly measuring belly wise a little big and they wanted to check and see how big this baby was getting. That also is helping to deicde how long they're allowing me to go past my due date
