I despise formula to be honest. It's nasty and smelly and I would never feed it to my child. BUT... I understand breastfeeding isn't for everyone. It was just my choice. I BF and pumped for 13 1/2 months for Libby. The last 5 months were exclusively pumping b/c she weaned on me.

well Holden is almost 18 months and I am still nursing, that said, i don't have anything at all against formula, or moms who choose to formula feed, i know moms who desperately wanted to breastfeed and just couldn't, no matter what they tried

I am hoping things go well, and I can bf. But if I have to, we will use formula.

Yeah I wasn't big on formula neither. But when Sam was 2 months old. Which every time I nursed/pumped. My nipples bled and the formula was pink. Couldn't bring myself to let her drink my blood so I had to formula feed. But when Sam was 4 months old I found out I was pregnant with Shy.

Shy I was exclusively breastfeeding. When she was 6 months I found out I was pregnant with Logan. I nursed her exclusively til she was 8 months old and then was forced to quit nursing because DH and my doctors thought I was about to hit PPD from Shylah, and on top of being pregnant and nursing, my hormones were seriously going crazy on me. I didn't notice anything but I guess they did. It was that or medication and well. Wasn't going to take meds while pregnant.

Logan. He is my sad baby. I nursed him til 3 months. Wound up in the hospital with menengitis for 3 days. I was on so many meds. Even though I pumped and pumped and pumped the meds drained my supply. I got a prescription for Reglan, but because I was having intestional problems and getting a colonoscopy done within a few weeks after menegitis. The endoscopy doctor said I wasn't allowed to take it. So I fully lost my supply. Him I regret the most, just because there was absolutely no reason other then me constantly being sick.

I did both. I nursed Adam but ended up supplementing with formula because he ate so much. I nursed him till he was 10 months though. Phoebe, I had to introduce formula early after finding out she couldnt tolerate dairy. I eliminated dairy and she did btter. I still breastfeed her (she really does NOT like the bottle) so I probably won't go as long with her. It's much cheaper and I hate having to buy formula....
